Monthly givers keep the telescopes rolling to every rural school.
Southeast Alaska has some of the darkest skies and brightest auroras anywhere, and most kids here have never looked through a telescope. Dark Sky Explorers drives a van full of telescopes, star charts and cameras to schools from Gustavus to Kake every winter.
The program runs on monthly givers: steady gifts let us plan routes and book school visits a year ahead. Our goal is a community of monthly supporters, so the campaign never ends.
